In the case of the private sector, the BCR revealed that, according to the electronic payroll, 4,166,000 jobs were registered, which meant a growth of around 2.9%.
Within the private sector, the sectors that added the greatest number of jobs to their payrolls were services, commerce and construction with 63,000, 17,000 and 16,000 new positions respectively.
The situation was different in the fishing sector, where a 10.5% drop in the number of formal jobs was observed, meaning that approximately 2,000 jobs were lost. This was the only sector that registered a negative result in July.
On the other hand, the BCR revealed that the total wage mass in real terms increased by 5.4%, mainly associated with the increase in wages and jobs.
