The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, called the new generations of diplomats and diplomats of the Matías Romero Institute (IMR) to put Mexican humanism as the axis of foreign policy.
During the inauguration of the 13th Foreign Book Fair, De la Fuente stressed that, like books, diplomacy allows you to connect coincident and divergent ideas, and invited young people to deliberate without reservations.
“They question without reservation, honestly, what they believe is questionable, and propose with innovative possibilities that robuste the diplomatic work of Mexico and in other latitudes,” he said.
The Foreign Minister stressed that Mexican humanism privileges the agreement on the imposition, as demonstrated by the recent agreement reached with the United States Secretary of State, Marcos Rubio, during his visit to Mexico. He stressed that diplomacy must advance with renewed and strengthened instruments, always with a humanistic vocation, to defend the principles of the country against international challenges.
Accompanied by the director of the IMR, Juan José Bremer, the chancellor pointed out that reading strengthens democracy, form criteria and guides the debate, providing ideas that seek to dignify all people.
