Forest fires: there are active outbreaks in Corrientes and Río Negro

Two fires continue to be active this Wednesday in the provinces of Corrientes and Río Negroaccording to the report prepared by the National Fire Management Service (SNMF)which also states that in Misiones, Santa Fe and Neuquén the fire is contained.

According to the agency’s daily report, in Corrientes the fire remains active in Alvear I, where five hydrant planes, an observer plane and four helicopters belonging to the SNMF, Ministry of Defense and Federal Police remain operational; together with 255 brigade members and support personnel summoned by the SNMF and National Parks.

In turn, eight fire trucks, equipment, heavy machinery, a logistics truck, a communications truck and support mobiles remain in place.

Also, the agency stated that the outbreaks in San Miguel III and IV, Concepción, Carlos Pellegrini, Santo Tomé, General Paz and Mburucuyá, remain “controlled”.

In Ituzaingó and in San Miguel I and II, the fires were “contained”.

Meanwhile, the agency reported that the outbreaks that affected Alvear II, Curuzú Cuatiá and the capital of Corrientes are “extinct”.

The daily report generated by the agency indicated that it also a fire was active in Río Negro, in the Lago Martín Complex in Bariloche.
