Forest fires: Government confirms ten active fires in the country

According to the Vice Ministry of Civil Defense report, the country has 10 active fires distributed in the departments of Beni and Santa Cruz.

The Deputy Minister of Civil Defense, Juan Carlos Calvimontes, informed that the affected municipalities are San Andrés, in Beni; El Puente, San José de Chiquitos, Ascension of Guarayos, El Carmen Rivero Tórrez, Roboré and Charagua Iyambae, in Santa Cruz.

It should be clarified that that of San Ignacio de Velasco, is located inside the Noel Kempff Mercado Park. He also explained that The most relevant fires are treated that of the park and in ascension of Guarayos.

For the rest of the cases, aerial patrols will be deployed in order to determine whether they are controlled chaqueos, burning of expanding grasslands or forest fires.

Heat spotlight
