A great magnitude forest fire was recorded in the Juan Pablo II and Chulec sector, in the Oroya, affecting a hectare and a half of vegetation. The emergency was attended by personnel of the Santa Rosa de Sacco Fire Company No. 210, after the call of neighbors and security personnel.

The fire, which began in the train rail area, advanced rapidly to the former field El Golf, at risk of reaching residential areas. After the recognition of the land, the Firefighters managed to control and extinguish the incident in approximately one hour, preventing it from reaching nearby trees and homes.

Thanks to the timely intervention, no serious personal or material damage were reported. The Fire Department reiterated its commitment to the community, by completing ten years of service to the golden population.
