Forest fire affects southern slope of Cerro San Cristóbal

During this Friday a forest fire is reported that affects the southern slope of Cerro San Cristóbal, Providencia commune.

Firefighters from Santiago and brigade members from the Metropolitan Park are working in the place. They are being helped by a helicopter that, by drawing water from the Mapocho River, tries to put out the incident.

Traffic is interrupted on El Cerro and Carlos Reed avenues, Torre Santa María sector, due to effective emergency work.
