Yesterday there was a new arson and armed attack in the Bío Bío regionspecifically in the Los Ríos sector, where three forestry workers were injured.
As the hours passed, the theory that the attack carried out this past Wednesday was a montage became viral on social networks, since when investigating the license plate of the occupied truck – GWTR-12 – it showed that it belonged to Forestal Antilemu Ltda.
Response from Acorofag
Faced with the questioning of the occupied vehicle, the Association of Forestry Contractors (Acorofag) issued a statement clarifying the facts.
“It is true that Forestal Antilemu Ltda. owns the truck described, but it is used for forestry equipment maintenance work by the mechanics of said company at the site where the crime of burning equipment was committed,” the text said. .
Given the rumors, they stated that the truck “was stolen at the time of the attack and used by the terrorists to commit the act and attack a driver of a forestry truck, as shown by the images recorded in the video known to all.”
“Contractors and forest workers carry out our work in a serious, honest and responsible manner and we will never lend ourselves to criminal actions such as those mentioned,” the statement concluded.
