An inspector from the National Immigration Service was attacked by a foreigner during a verification of his immigration status. The authorities reiterated that to know the status of people in the country, their documentation is requested.
The verification took place on Avenida Federico Boyd, when the foreigner bit the inspector on the arm.
“The National Immigration Service regrets this incident, which occurred when the inspector requested the corresponding documents, to find out the immigration status of these foreigners in the country,” they indicated in a press release.
They indicated that the official of the institution proceeded to provide assistance to foreigners and they were informed that child begging is prohibited for nationals and foreigners.
The National Immigration Service is the security body responsible for immigration control, respectful of due process and human rights, which is why it calls for the immigration regulations that exist in the country to be respected and complied with.
