The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that —this January 23rd— a note has been sent to the Bolivian ambassador in Peru, Carlos Aparicioexpressing his “strong protest” at the recent statements made by the Bolivian president, Luis Arce, in relation to issues of internal politics of Peru.
Through her Twitter account, the Peruvian Foreign Ministry also detailed that “evaluate actions” against him Bolivian president for acts of interference against the Government of Dina Boluarte.
“Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a note to the Bolivian ambassador, through which it conveys an energetic protest against the statements of President Luis Arce on domestic policy issues. The Foreign Ministry evaluates actions before new acts of interference”, reads the tweet.
Recently, the Bolivian president affirmed that Peru is “fighting to recover its democracy”. This, within the framework of the different protests that have been taking place in the country against the Government of Dina Boluarte and requesting his resignation from office.
“We have the Peruvian people in a fight to recover their democracy and also for recovering the right to elect a Government that represents them”, said Luis Arce during his participation in the Extraordinary National Expansion of the Single Teachers of Bolivia of the MAS-IPSP.
