It is stated that, in a meeting that ratifies the political will of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela, to strengthen cooperation and maintain channels of constructive dialogue with the United Nations (UN), the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil , held a meeting this Saturday, in New York, with the Secretary General of the UN, António Guterres.

“We exposed details of the most recent aggressions and violations of international law committed against the people of Venezuela and its institutions, encouraged by the United States of America, which have been defeated by the Venezuelan people, in a sign of their strong will to move forward.” in peace and achieve the prosperity you deserve,” the Venezuelan Foreign Minister reported on his Telegram channel, about the conversation held.

He indicated that he also ratified Guterres’ request to the UN and its bodies for greater commitment to the mandate and principles embodied in the Charter of the United Nations and support for the public power of Venezuela, in the fight to defend peace and well-being. of each and every Venezuelan.

Foreign Minister Gil’s presence in North American territory is due to his participation, as head of the Venezuelan delegation, in the opening day of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

President had already had a telephone conversation

The institution’s portal reports that President Nicolás Maduro held a friendly and fraternal telephone conversation with Guterres on September 20, in which they addressed the global political situation, especially that of Venezuela, after the attempts at destabilization and the conspiracies promoted. from US territory, with the complacency of its government, flagrantly violating International Law and the Charter of the United Nations, supported by Latin American and European far-right extremism.

Both dignitaries agreed to support the consultations with different political, social and economic sectors promoted by the Bolivarian Government, while agreeing to maintain communication at the highest level between Venezuela and the UN General Secretariat.

On September 20, the Head of State received in Caracas the resident and humanitarian coordinator of the United Nations System, Gianlucca Rampolla, in the company of Minister Gil, within the framework of the Bolivarian Government’s policies to protect the Nation, in means of the more than 900 unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US and European elites and that affect the economy and comprehensive development of the South American nation.
