Foreign Minister Lavrov's visit strengthens Russia's support for Venezuela

In an interview for the show In the air that transmits Venezuelan Television (VTV), the internationalist Ángel Tortolero analyzed the importance of the visit to Venezuela of the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, which means, in the political aspect, “the solidification of Russia’s support for the development of Bolivarian socialist democracy that We are trying to strengthen and continue building”.

In this context, the internationalist highlighted the incorporation of Russia into the national economic development agenda, and in this sense, recalled that “the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, offered a range of opportunities to the entire world, because Venezuela has great potential” in various productive, cultural and tourist areas.

That is why, “this investment that President Nicolás Maduro is talking about and that Foreign Minister Lavrov is exposed in the development of our potential for the good of the entire population in terms of the distribution of wealth.”

He recalled that the growth of society implies industrial development, in all areas, and agriculture and all its potentialities, and both nations are moving in that direction.

During his visit, the Russian diplomat said that “Venezuela is one of Russia’s most reliable partners,” and affirmed that Moscow will always help its Latin American ally. “We are going to favor any way for the Venezuelan economy to become independent of the pressures of the US and other Western actors,” she asserted.
