The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, spoke about the information disseminated that the European Union had confirmed allocating 14.5 million euros in humanitarian aid for Venezuela.
In this regard, on his Telegram channel, Gil told European taxpayers that “those 14.5 million euros will not reach Venezuela. “They will be, like the previous 149 million, another operation of corruption disguised as solidarity.”
The head of Foreign Affairs stressed that “while Brussels imposes cuts, demands adjustments and limits the health, housing and employment budgets in its own member states, it proudly announces new millions for “humanitarian aid to Venezuela.”
He stressed that “not one euro of these funds reaches our people. The European Union does not develop or register any humanitarian project in Venezuela,” while stating that such resources “end up in the pockets of intermediaries and supposed NGOs that have made international financing a business.”
«Enough of corruption and false pretexts from the European Union! “Venezuela respects itself!” concluded the diplomat.
