Foreign Minister Gil repudiated the hypocrisy that supports human rights violations in the US

Foreign Minister denounces Nichols' persistent conspiracy against Venezuela

A new shooting occurred on Wednesday at a high school in the United States. The perpetrator, a 14-year-old boy, will be tried as an adult, according to the authorities in this country, after killing four people and wounding 30 more.

The event outraged the international press, but not human rights defenders who questioned the arrest of young Venezuelans who broke the country’s laws by generating violence, and remained silent in the face of the announcement that this American minor will be tried as an adult, and could serve the maximum sentence in his country.

The fact did not go unnoticed by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who questioned the hypocrisy and double standards of these “human rights defenders” who biasedly attack the measures taken by the national government and turn a blind eye to extreme situations that occur in the United States.

“Hypocrisy and irresponsibility of the fascist right and its allies, many of them entrenched in multilateral systems.

In the US, minors are tried as adults, and there is total silence from the “defenders” of Human Rights. Where are the defenders of the rights of children and adolescents?

The reality is that legal protocols are applied in Venezuela in accordance with international treaties to guarantee peace,” Gil denounced in a post on the social network Telegram.

He added that the enemies of Venezuelan sovereignty “will continue to attack Venezuelan democracy and defend imperial aggressors and transgressors, it is their nature.

We will continue our commitment to democracy and the protection of human rights, whatever they do, but without falling prey to their crude blackmail,” he concluded.
