Foreign Minister Gil criticizes interventionist statements by the American Secretary of State

Foreign Minister rejects threats from Southern Command against Venezuela

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, criticized the interventionist statements of the Secretary of State of the United States (US), Antony Blinken, in relation to Venezuelan democracy, and stated that Washington is clinging to “the worn-out script of violence” and to “(Juan) Guaidó part two.”

This is what Gil asserted on Tuesday on his social media, where he pointed out that “Mr. Blinken is clinging to a Guaidó part two who fled and abandoned his people, plunging them into a new failure.”

He also argued that “in the face of the defeat inflicted on them by the Venezuelan people” in the last presidential elections on July 28, the US government is resorting to “the worn-out script of violence with fascist methods and ridiculous threats.”

“The Bolivarian people are victoriously building their destiny and will crush the brutality of the arrogant, lying and swindling politicians, who, in alliance with criminals, seek to divert us from the path of prosperity that we have consolidated,” he emphasized.

The head of Venezuelan diplomacy stressed that “in Venezuela, with President Nicolás Maduro Moros, peace has triumphed and nothing and no one will take us away from this path.”
