Venezuela and Barbados agree on maintaining the defense of peace and self-determination of the countries, as a fundamental part of the relations of solidarity and integration of the Caribbean nations, reported the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic, Yván Gil.
“We met in Belém, where the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change is being held, with the Prime Minister of Barbados, “My Love Mottley”reported the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, on his Instagram account.
“We have sent the president’s greetings Nicolás Maduro Moros and reiterated Venezuela’s fraternal willingness to continue strengthening ties of friendship, solidarity and integration between our Caribbean nations, especially in the defense of our Zone of Peace and the right to self-determination,” added the senior Venezuelan diplomatic official.
On October 26, Mia Mottley denounced the growing United States military presence in the Caribbean as a serious threat to regional peace.
“These are no longer times of pirates. It is 2025. And we have reasons to be duly worried,” the prime minister stated then, recalling the historic effort of the Caribbean countries to consolidate the territory as a Zone of Peace.
