The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, denounced this Tuesday the continuous campaign of conspiracy by the person in charge of the Department of State for Latin America of the United States (US), Brian Nichols, against Venezuela, in relation to the interference in the presidential elections of last July 28, where the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, was reelected.
This was stated in his account of the social network Threadswhere he questioned the “dark” financing to promote and disseminate messages against Venezuela.
“Nichols’ conspiracy against Venezuela failed again. However, he continues to charge for each post on the Bolsa de los Defeados, like a hitman for the Miami lobby. Sooner rather than later, this must be investigated. How much do they pay for each message? Who pays? And the darkest part: Where do those dollars come from?” Gil questioned.
The Venezuelan foreign minister added to his publication a post by Nichols that demonstrates the US interference in Venezuela’s internal affairs, pointing out that President “Nicolás Maduro and his representatives continue to refuse to publish the original minutes.”
“The United States will hold accountable those who allow electoral fraud and repression. The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected,” the US official said on his social media.
