This Monday, April 11, Foreign Minister Bustillo began a tour of the United States, an instance in which he met with the Undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture, Jewel Bronaugh. The meeting was also attended by the Chief of Staff, Amb. Fernando López Fabregat, and the Uruguayan ambassador to the United States, Dr. Andrés Durán.
During the meeting “a detailed exchange of the trade relationship between the two countries in terms of agricultural products was enabled.”
“Flows and corresponding necessary qualifications were analyzed in terms of bovine meat -carbon neutral, high quality with specific reference to the characteristics of Uruguayan production-, ovine meat with bone, poultry meat, bovine semen and cheese, among other goods,” he reported. Foreign Ministry through a statement.

The Secretary of State highlighted the “positive disposition of Dr. Bronaugh in the face of the Uruguayan proposals.”
Likewise, the leaders of both countries agreed to continue closely with the relevant procedures to “fully make all the issues analyzed viable,” it was reported in a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
