For “treason”, deputy Yanibel Ábrego is expelled from the Cambio Democrático party

The Court of Honor and Discipline of the Cambio Democrático party decided the immediate expulsion of deputy Yanibel Ábrego, who is a pre-candidate for the presidency for the group.

The decision of the Court was given after a disciplinary process was initiated for “supporting” another candidate (Ricardo Martinelli) and promoting alliances with another party (Realizando Metas).

According to Electoral Bulletin 5371-B, the majority of the Court of Honor and Discipline decided to sanction the deputy with the immediate expulsion for treason.

However, after this decision, the deputy can still appeal and wait for a response from the Electoral Tribunal.

Deputy Yanibel Ábrego, through her Twitter account, assured that she continues in the presidential race.

«A defeated and afraid president who does not respect the party statutes decides without legitimacy to expel me from Cambio Democrático. I want to inform you that I am still in the presidential race. The tyrant’s cowardice is so serious that he no longer knows what to do to lower my candidacy and steal the right of the membership to choose their representatives. He for the second time he tries to kick us out, for the second time we will win. Democracy always wins. See you on July 9,” he tweeted.
