The former liberal senator, Miguel Abdón “Tito” Saguier, affirmed that the use of the national register by the concertation parties to define a presidential tag should not be challenged.
Saguier argued for 780 AM that what was resolved by the board last night is strictly in accordance with the Constitution, the electoral code and the PLRA statute. He argued that all interpretations of the laws related to electoral issues should be aimed at facilitating the participation of citizens in electoral episodes.
In addition, he added that the National Civic Registry is a public asset, it can be used by any political organization.
