For the second consecutive year, suppliers recognize Cencosud Peru as the '#1 Retailer'

For second consecutive Year, Peru has been recognized by the Advantage Report™ 2022 as the ‘Retailer #1’ in the country. This recognition reflects the perception of almost 30 suppliers, among which are the most representative of the beverage, food, and personal care sectors, among others, and evaluates the performance of companies in 28 competencies grouped into four axes: collaboration, execution, reputation and vision. Cencosud Peru not only obtained first place in each of them, but the scores obtained show an important advantage over its competitors.

Among the main characteristics highlighted by the suppliers surveyed is the generation of trust, fair and equitable treatment, having a trained and experienced team, compliance with commitments, and innovation and efficiency in the supply chain. Thus, they prioritized that Cencosud Peru maintains synergy between the different areas of the company, promotes effective collaboration meetings that allow generating efficiencies, and knows the market and the categories it manages.

“Our suppliers are our main allies, and knowing that once again our daily work and the constant search to continue generating value at each step of the chain are recognized, motivates us and gives us a boost to continue improving day by day”, indicated Alfredo Mastrokalos, Country Manager of Cencosud Peru.

Likewise, the suppliers rated the work with the teams in the Personal Care, Beverages, Food and Pets, and Frozen/Refrigerated categories with excellent evaluation. Likewise, those surveyed highlighted the performance of Cencosud Peru in the field of Social, Environmental and Well-being Responsibility, and the focus on the development of its E-Commerce platforms.
