ANDE commissions the first 80 MVA power transformer for Caaguazú and Repatriation
The National Electricity Administration (ANDE) put into service the first transformer of 80 megavoltampere (MVA) of power in the Caaguazú Substation, to provide greater reliability and quality in the electrical system in the department.
The new team seeks to accompany the industrial development, economic and social growth of the department of Caaguazú, especially in the city of Caaguazú and Repatriation, reported ANDE.
Said power transformer replaces two transformers of 40 MVA each, existing in the place and is part of the expansion works that ANDE has been executing in the place.
The completion of the expansion works is scheduled for December 2022, with the sectioning of Transmission Line K30-COV-1 and the commissioning of the second 80 MVA transformer, which will double the power, reaching 160 MVA 220/23 kV of power installed in the aforementioned Substation.
The act of commissioning the transformer was attended by the president of ANDE, engineer Félix Sosa; the Technical Manager, engineer Miguel Báez; the Head of the Generation and Transmission Supervision Division, engineer Daniel Cabrera and the Head of the Central Regional Division, Mr. Richard Rodríguez.
