Mexico City, Mexico.-For the first time in its 44-year history, andl International Festival of New Latin American Cinema It will be led by a woman.
This is Tania Delgado, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industries and professor of the Faculty of Art of the Audiovisual Communication Media of the Higher Institute of Art.
Delgado will occupy the position of President of the Festival that every year brings together filmmakers from all over the world in the Cuban capital.

The International Festival of New Latin American Cinema opened its doors for the first time on December 3, 1979 and for many years it was under the supervision of Alfredo Guevara, an intellectual close to the country’s high authorities. The 44th edition of the festival is scheduled for December 8-17 in Havana.
