The president of Industriales Pymes Argentinos (IPA), Daniel Rosato, supported the agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and maintained that “it will be fundamental for advance in the process of industrialization”.
Rosato demanded a unity table for the SME sector “to deal with the inconveniences subsequent to the signing of the memorandum of understanding, such as those related to financing, energy supply and production costs.”

Along these lines, he explained that “Argentina is in a process that, with a lot of effort and sacrifice, is coming out together with the entire industrial sector due to the policy for the sector that this Government is carrying out”.
“For this reason, we believe that this agreement may not be the best, but it will help us to open the markets, so that many SMEs can obtain financing that they do not have today, and build a better horizon for all Argentines,” he added. .
The president of IPA also affirmed that “after the signing of this agreement it is necessary to work together for all SMEs in defense of the national industry”, and pointed out that “there are many things that the agreement does not say and that must be faced, such as financing, the problems of rising interest rates, the consequences of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the lack of energy.”
“Today we have many companies worried about the announcement of a lack of gas, because they are not making agreements for the supply of gas. We must discuss these important issues, between legislators and the Government, because we are on a good path in terms of industrial development and job creation”, he stressed.
Meanwhile, he said that “During 2022, a significant increase in the installed capacity of the industry was announced, which will lead to the creation of thousands of new jobs”although “the war in Russia, the lack of energy and the problems of lack of dollars can drag down the SME industry”.
In this sense, he distinguished the small and medium-sized industries from the large ones, and pointed out that multinationals “finance themselves with the money they have abroad in their subsidiaries”.
