The clean slate law that allows Colombians to “clean up their credit life” before the credit bureaus, comes to an end this month.
Colombia News.
Law 2157 that establishes the “clean slate” has been in force for a year, and consists of Colombians being able to catch up with the doubts for which they are reported negatively before the credit bureaus.
This regulation with which many Colombians have benefited comes to an end in the coming weeks.
However, it is estimated that there are around 6 million people who to date are still reported in the risk centers, and have not approached to pay or have made payment agreements.
For this reason, the asset entity, Central de Inversiones SA, CISA, linked to the Ministry of Finance, invites the interested population to catch up; approach during these 10 days that remain to the banking entities and access the law of clean slate.

How to access the benefit
First, you must verify if you are a CISA debtor, which can be consulted through the website www.cisa.gov.co and after this, contact the WhatsApp lines that appear on the page.
“In addition to the benefit of the law, at CISA, we can also propose alternatives and facilities so that they can pay their debts,” said María Vieira, vice president of business at CISA.
In CISAalready more than 25 thousand people have carried out the exercise managing to get out of the negative report.
On the other hand, it is important to keep in mind that once the debt is cancelled, the negative reports are eliminated no later than six months later.
That time of the report will be given regardless of how long the delinquency was, but if you do not pay while the law is in force, your negative report could be kept for much longer.
Citizens can also check with Datacredit Y Cifin (TransUnion) if they have reports, these are the ‘private’ risk centers, which work with cooperatives, financial systems of banks and digital services, companies and more.
