The national deputy of the Front of All (FdT) Leopoldo Moreau considered today that the “campaign” against the criticism that his radical colleague Facundo Manes launched towards former president Mauricio Macri “reveals that there was indeed massive espionage” during the administration of Together for the Cambio (JxC) and maintained that the UCR “is going to be the PRO’s caboose again.”
“The campaign and the violent reaction (against Manes) reveals that there was indeed massive espionage during the Macri government,” Moreau told Radio Nacional.
Manes said in an interview last Sunday that Macri “has to reflect“ for having “spied on people from his own government”, between 2015 and 2019, in a management that he classified as “institutional populism”, which provoked the reaction of JxC referents who criticized the radical leader and accused him of seeking the rupture of the coalition.
Moreau referred to the statement from the National Committee of the UCR that responded to Manes, through which he called for the “unity” of JxC and warned that “any demonstration that departs from that course, no matter where it comes from, damages hope “.
The FdT legislator considered that by this statement radicalism “has lost the slightest dignity” and lamented “not only because they do not defend” Manes, but also because “they are showing where they are going.”
“They are going to be the PRO’s caboose again,” he said about his former political party.
Along these lines, he assured that from the UCR they continue to think about “‘cargoism'” and considered that, then, they prioritize “holding positions above any other reasoning.”
“They even reaffirm their alliance at a time when PRO is going even further to the right than it already was,” lamented the deputy.
Moreau pointed out that “the PRO no longer lies” and differentiated the situation from the 2015 campaign where, he considered, “they openly lied” to win the elections.
“With what face could a radical leader justify the government of (Horacio) Rodríguez Larreta sending policemen to student houses”he pointed out, and evaluated that, throughout its history, radicalism has been a distinguished party for the “defense of public education”
