The Secretary General of the Truck Drivers Guild, Hugo Moyanoaffirmed this Wednesday that “the Government is making an enormous effort with the inflation issue” and asked “to look at what is happening in the world”, in reference to the police repression that occurred in France against a demonstration in repudiation of the price increases that occur in that European nation.
“The Government is making a huge effort. Nobody sees the things that are happening in the world. Demonstrations with incidents, repression, against workers in France, who protest inflation, which is obviously a lethal enemy,” Moyano said on Radio 10.
Along these lines, he insisted: “The government is making all the necessary efforts to prevent the issue of inflation from deepening further and that must be understood because this happens in the world and cannot be ignored.”
When analyzing what was done by Alberto Fernández’s management in price control, the leader stated that “the The Government would have to use all possible means to make these gentlemen – businessmen – understand that a sacrifice must also be made, such as earning a little less”.
“Within everything, the government is trying to handle things as best as possible,” interpreted Moyano.
The trucker also targeted former president Mauricio Macriconsidering that the former president “did harm to the country and has the gall to go out and speak as if he were a patriot.”
In this sense, Moyano evaluated that a hypothetical victory of Together for Change (JxC) in 2023, “Macri and the right are going to come with everything and that is why the Argentine people can not be wrong again as in 20152.
“
JxC want to take away all the labor rights that took years of fighting to achieve.”Hugo Moyano
“Because if Macri returns, it would be fatal for the workers. JxC want to take away all the labor rights that they had to fight for years to achieve,” he warned.
During the radio interview, Moyano considered that “Macri speaks because he is an instrument of the dominant real power in the world that wants to take complete ownership” of Argentina.
“Macri wants to eliminate all the rights of the workers and if he comes back, he will go for that. And he wants to do business with the companies that are backed by them. They come right to do that,” he remarked.
Faced with a possible sanction of labor flexibility, there will be a very complicated moment because there will be resistance. Later, maybe they will impose it for a while, but the young people are not going to accept that their rights are taken away.
On what the reaction of the trade unions will be, he advanced: “We are going to continue resisting the removal of labor rights.”
“They come to impose a modern slavery, with workers without labor rights like the guys who deliver on motorcycles, who have no protection,” he said.
Moyano affirmed that “if the right wing returns to the government, it will take measures that will even cost lives and then there will be a reaction and we will no longer come out of this permanent confrontation that they have between those who have a lot and those who Has little”.
“We are convinced that if Macri wins, they are going to put us in jail, but we are not going to let up”, he concluded.
