For Father’s Day, Canirac Puebla expects a 30% increase in sales

Puebla, Pue. The National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac) expects an increase in sales of up to 30% due to the Father’s daywith an average consumption per person of between 150 and 850 pesos.

The president of the organization, Carlos Azomoza Alacio, explained that the greatest influx will be on Sunday, when it is Father’s Day, however, the expense will be low, since this celebration is not commonly celebrated in restaurants, but at home.

On the other hand, he said, when the Mother’s Daythe celebrations do take place in restaurants, which benefits the sector because sales are at 40% and helps to have a greater influx for several days.

Taco, Mexican food, hamburger, pizza, steak, meat, sushi and Asian food restaurants could have higher sales due to home deliveries; while in person, establishments with alcoholic beverages would be the ones that will have the greatest rebound in sales, he deepened.

He pointed out that the Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect sales, since diners do not let their guard down and avoid frequenting crowded places.

Azomoza Alacio commented that businesses in the sector will continue with promotions to attract more customers for Father’s Day.

He urged the more than 600 partners to carry out promotional campaigns to make themselves known by this date, by resorting to social networks as part of the tools that are available to everyone.

However, he said that among the partners there is confidence that sales will increase due to the summer vacations and upcoming graduations, which they should take advantage of by offering special packages.

Canirac announced that until June 2022 in the state there were 35,719 business units for food preparation services and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
