The Ethics Committee of the Constitutional Convention fined the constituent of the UDI, Marcela Cubillos, for spreading false information in a tweet in November 2021. This measure against him was taken after the constituent Alvin Saldaña filed a complaint with the committee on December 3, 2021, accusing him of “lacking probity and misinforming public opinion,” regarding the conventional Francisca Linconao.
