The Attorney General’s Office summoned several Vallenato artists to testify who would have entertained a Vallenato party inside the La Picota prison in Bogotá.

It should be remembered that this controversial party would have been organized on September 24, 25 and 26 of this year in the “extraditables patio” of the aforementioned prison in the cold capital.

The State entity that is in charge of investigating, sanctioning, intervening and preventing irregularities committed by the rulers, public officials; seeks to clarify the facts and establish the responsibilities of those who were in charge of custody of the prison at the date and time of the events.

This is why within the preliminary investigation, the Public Ministry ordered to hear in a sworn statement the testimonies of the Vallenato artists who would have been part of the meeting.

They are the vallenato singers Ana del Castillo, José Vicente Rosado Murgas ‘Mono’ Zabaleta and ‘Churo’ Díaz, Fabio Quiroz and the accordion player Daniel Maestre Ramos.

For her part, the Attorney General of the Nation, Margarita Cabello Blanco, referred to the “party” that occurred in recent days in the extradition pavilion of the La Picota Prison in Bogotá.

The State official stressed that this permissive behavior of the people who carry out surveillance tasks inside the prison have become “repetitive”: “The Attorney General suspends, sanctions officials and directors, new ones are appointed and it comes back and it happens,” it was Cabello’s assessment of this situation.

However, the Attorney General stated that from that state entity, they will be willing to listen to the security guards who were on duty the day the meeting was held, enlivened with vallenato and liquor.
