The footbridge that gives access to the Garganta do Diabo viewpoint, in the Iguaçu Falls, was reopened this morning (15), after three days closed. The path had been blocked last Wednesday (12), due to the large increase in the flow of the falls.
On Thursday (13), the volume reached 16.5 million liters of water per second, which represents 11 times the average volume of the falls, which is 1.5 million.
The reopening took place at 10 am, after an inspection by the technical team of the Iguaçu National Park. Today, the volume has dropped to 10 million liters per second, still a volume almost seven times the average.
The forecast is that the volume will fall in the coming days, according to information from the press office of the national park.
