Football from another dimension: Adidas presents the new Chimpunes x Speedportal

First introduced in 2020 with the groundbreaking X GHOSTED model, adidas’ groundbreaking SPEEDFRAME technology has been updated with a lightweight outsole plate designed for blazing acceleration. The new multidimensional stud design provides the ideal grip the player needs to move in any direction.

With such speed, players need a shoe that provides stability, support and keeps the foot locked in place. For this, adidas created a new high-speed stability system that provides an optimal fit and guaranteed support. The new X’s feature a stability wing and support gusset that keep the player’s feet steady so he can play with complete freedom while making quick movements and changes of direction.

Another important detail is that the high specification SPEEDSKIN 2.0 upper (P+) is lightweight and features a laceless design that provides greater comfort and more direct contact between the foot and the ball. Designed for 90-minute comfort, the new SPEEDSKIN 2.0 will be available in slip-on (P+) and lace-up (P1) models, creating a seamless connection between shoe and foot.

Finally, as part of adidas’ commitment to help end plastic waste, the X SPEEDPORTAL is the first model in the X series to contain no virgin polyester. Additionally, at least 50% of the exterior of these boots is made from recycled materials.
