A commission from the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) is searching for four people, allegedly involved in a criminal structure that irregularly bought diesel to resell it.
For this fact, Luigi Rivero and José Gregorio Gómez are already detained. Rivero is the owner of Alimentos La Coromoto, a precooked flour processor located in Carora (Lara), which he used to purchase diesel.
The investigations determined that the aforementioned company received for a year a truckload of diesel every four days of 38,000 liters that Rivero allegedly sold at 0.30 cents of a dollar per liter, according to the sources.
Last August, the Sebin raided the company’s headquarters and located 750,000 liters of diesel deposited in tanks, the informant pointed out.
The file related to that investigation is in the 4th Antiterrorist Court of the Caracas Metropolitan Area. The four that the authorities are looking for are Rivero’s associates.
This criminal structure presumably kept the Carora service stations intimidated so that they would not sell diesel and thus have a free field in the marketing of fuel.
