Similar actions will be carried out in communities in Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo. In Tabasco the works are carried out in localities and municipal capitals of Balancán, Tenosique and Emiliano Zapata.
Javier May Rodríguez explained that in Balancán the investment is 119 million 647 thousand pesos and benefits more than eight thousand people from Villa El Triunfo, El Águila, El Naranjito and Mactún, where wastewater treatment plants, sanitary drainage, asphalt pavement and hydraulic concrete, sidewalks and ramps for people with disabilities.
The official added that Tenosique receives an investment of 79,713,000 pesos “for the benefit of almost 45,000 inhabitants of the highway to Rojo Gómez and different points of the municipal capital with drainage, drinking water, hydraulic pavement, pedestrian crossings, signaling, garrisons, ramps, sidewalks, sewage pipes and wells”.
In Emiliano Zapata, 13 million 706 thousand pesos are invested “for the benefit of almost 1,500 people with roofing works and a multipurpose field in a children’s garden, hydraulic pavement, sidewalks, wells, drainage and drinking water, among other works”.
The authority explained that these social actions are carried out through a Comprehensive Mayan Train Development Program, to which are added the benefits of new homes for those who agreed to be relocated from the area they occupied in the right of way.
