Starting tomorrow, Friday, you will be able to check through the BPS website if you are eligible to collect.
On Monday, the 23rd of this month, the payment of the returns of the surpluses to the National Health Fund (Fonasa), corresponding to the year 2023, will begin. Users will be able to access the amount and calculation of the return of their contributions.
Payment can be made by depositing into a bank account or an electronic money instrument (MiDinero, DeAnda, Prex or OCA Blue), or by presenting your ID at Abitab, Redpagos, ANDA, El Dorado supermarkets or at the BPS Treasury (Colonia 1851, ground floor).
Fonasa personal contributions are considered for dependent or non-dependent workers (owners of sole proprietorships and personal services companies), retirees and pensioners. Contribution rates vary according to family situation and income.
How do you know if you are eligible for a refund?
According to BPS, those eligible are those workers who during 2023 had, in nominal values, an average monthly income greater than $105,847 and those retirees or pensioners with an average greater than $114,667.
Those who have a bank account associated with the BPS will receive their payment on Monday, September 23rd, and those who do not will be able to receive their deposit in person from September 23rd to 27th, depending on the last digit of their ID card.
