Committed to sustainability and the search to generate a positive impact in the community, Fabricas Nacionales de Cerveza (FNC) presented its new liter returnable glass bottle for its soft drink portfolio.
The new presentation is available in the points of sale at a suggested price of $64 for Pepsi, Pepsi Black, Paso de los Toros and Paso de los Toros Sugar Free products.
“With the incorporation of the returnable bottle, we take another step forward in our commitment to promote the circular economy through the incorporation of containers that can be reused on average up to 20 times. Besides, with each glass bottle we avoid the generation of 700 grams of plasticcontributing to the care of the environment and our consumers, since our product is positioned at a competitive price”, said Gabriela Cibils, head of Corporate Affairs at FNC.

The new FNC returnable container for its line of soft drinks
The implementation of this package meant a joint investment between FNC and PepsiCo of US$ 2.5 million which were allocated to the purchase of containers and adjustments to the FNC packaging line.
The new liter returnable container is also part of the company’s sustainability challenges in all its processes. These include a commitment to their packaging being returnable or made from mostly recycled materials, to which is added the use of energy from renewable sources, water care and the training and empowerment of the company’s farmers.
