The guild asks the Pope to intercede for “logical and lasting solutions for all our nationals and inhabitants” of Venezuela “before the imminent internal and external threats”
The Venezuelan Medical Federation (FMV) asks Pope Leo XIV to intercede for Venezuelans who suffer “for the scourge of national and economic diseases and injustices” in the country.
In a letter delivered to his holiness in the framework of the canonization of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles, the medical guild raised the health crisis in Venezuela where hospitals are shortages and in a critical situation, as well as the economic and social problems that Venezuelans face with “unsustainable and uncontrollable inflation.”
“We went to you as a representative of God on earth to request that he bless and protect us, beg for our sick children, the sacrificed mothers, doctors, medical and all the Venezuelan people.”
