The councilor of La Florida, Marcela Abedrapo (PC), had to interrupt her participation in the Municipal Council of the commune after being requested by Carabineros personnel as a result of a warning order against her.
This occurs in the context of a lawsuit for libel and slander filed by the municipality, which is currently headed by Mayor Rodolfo Carter (former UDI). Said judicial action was filed against Abedrapo at the request of an official of the Citizen Security Directorate.

In view of the situation, the militant authority of the Communist Party could not enter a session of the Municipal Council, which was taking place today, since uniformed personnel went to the place to execute the warning order just before the start of the instance. The councilor did not attend to testify in court, which led to the procedure and subsequent transfer to the 36th Police Station.
Through a statement, the Communist Party denounced the situation. In this sense, they assured that both her arrest and transfer to court “constitute a rude way of trying to humiliate a councilor from our party.” “Our solidarity with Marcela and our willingness to collaborate in whatever her defense requires,” they sentenced from the PC.
It should be noted that a few days ago and after various acts and appearances in the press outside the municipality, the councilor denounced the mayor of La Florida, Rodolfo Carter, before the Comptroller General of the Republic for notable neglect of duties.
