The Venezuelan singer and actress Floria Márquez died this Saturday, October 25, during a presentation at Casa Anauco in El Hatillo, Miranda state.
Her husband, Pedro López, confirmed the information in a message published on social networks, in which he noted that The artist would have suffered a devastating stroke while performing the second song of her presentation.
“He left this plane doing what he loved most,” said the Venezuelan music producer and orchestrator.
Casa Anauco also mourned the death of the Venezuelan show woman in an Instagram post: “It deeply regrets the death of our beloved Floria Márquez during a concert scheduled for today. Peace to her remains.”
Floria Márquez was born in Caracas on February 11, 1950. She came from a musical family: His mother, Bertha Van Stenis, was a classical pianist, and his brother was the famous singer Rudy Márquez.
She began singing professionally in 1987, specializing in the Bolero musical genre, after being widowed for three months.
Thanks to his great talent and passionate style, he became very popular in the nightlife of Caracas and in the interior of the country.
During his musical career, he shared the stage with Armando Manzanero, Los Panchos, Lucho Gatica, Oscar D’Leon, Cheo Feliciano, among others. His voice also resonated in Colombia, Bahamas, Aruba, Mexico, Argentina and the United States. In parallel, Floria worked as a theater actress.
