Although the Cordoba woman could have chosen to travel as a backpacker, she decided to tour the country by bicycle because riding a bike was a lifestyle that she had adopted for some years, but also because, as she herself says, “Blanky” is her “ground pole”..
Although initially her goal was only to reach the Atuel Canyon, where she would cover about 100 kilometers, as the days went by she gained confidence, and once again, her heart and instinct led her to pedal more and more kilometers and make her project bigger. to travel by bike.
In this way, once he reaches the Atuel Canyon, he decides to travel to Los Reyunos, where in the middle of the journey he comes across a post belonging to Deolinda Correa, better known as the Difunta Correa, to whom his grandfather was very devoted, who died Two years ago; which brings back not only memories of him, her family and her childhood, but also leads her to have a very deep personal encounter.
Thanks to this passage through the small sanctuary, he realizes that his trip represents much more than just cycling for miles, but that it is a personal search and reconnection with his grandfather, so he then decides to change course and travel to Vallecito. , in the province of San Juan, where the Difunta Correa oratory is located.
In this way, the trip that began on April 30 of this year has extended mainly through Mendoza, where he was in San Rafael, Los Reyunos, Pareditas, Tunuyán, Tupungato, Las Vegas, Potrerillos and the city of Mendoza.
Later, on July 20, he arrived in the province of San Juan, where he entered through Media Agua, and later arrived in Vallecito, where he fulfilled his promise to visit the Difunta Correa. Then he traveled to Bermejo, Caucete, the capital city of San Juan, Jáchal and Rodeo, where he currently is.
Although it has been a long journey and she has traveled approximately 5,000 kilometers by bicycle, the traveler tells in a dialogue for this newspaper, that beyond the beautiful places and people she has met, This trip has represented a before and after in his life, both physically and mentally, but above all, spiritually..
Likewise, her decision to travel by bicycle has inspired and motivated other women to do so, because contrary to what is thought about it, she has had a pleasant and safe experience, about which she highlights that along the way she has learned to let go of her fears, to surrender to the journey itself, to believe in herself, which in turn has allowed her to meet great people in the middle of the journey who have given her a hand or have helped her at some difficult time.
For this reason, it also seeks to make more known about this adventure, because in addition to the fact that others can be motivated to do the same, more people can learn about it, and then, why not, give them help in the middle of the road.
“The road is teaching you and you are learning a lot. Everything that happens to you is like super broad, but it’s giving yourself a chance and getting started”, which is why he highlights that the most satisfying part of this entire journey, even after having to overcome a health problem that almost completely interrupted his adventure, it is being able to reach each new place.
How far will it go
Although when this journey began it was only for the purpose of reaching the Atuel Canyon, today the cordovan She is convinced that the adventure is just beginning, and in order to maintain it, she has had to support herself with savings, with the sale of stickers, and also with the support and help of many people she has met in the middle of the trip.
With the sale of stickers, which in turn has been a new and challenging experience, he has not only managed to finance the trip, but also to invest in improvements for “Blanky”, because he knows that it is essential to keep his partner in shape and in optimal conditions. faithful.
between laughs Florence He tells, in an interview for Minuto Argentina, that although at the beginning he planned each part of his journey, the trip itself has taught him to let go, to flow with what happens to him, which has also allowed him to enjoy, learn and learn more.
Therefore, After fulfilling his first promise to the Difunta Correa, now he has another: to turn around the province of San Juan, which will lead to being in this area of the country for the next few months, however; For now, he will be exchanging at Rodeo, so his bike tour will resume around March.
In this sense, although he is clear, for now, that his goal is to travel and learn more about the country, at the moment he does not plan where he will go when his tour of San Juan concludes, since he has also learned that this adventure is full of surprises, because every place she knows takes her to another, without having thought about it.
Despite the fact that each place she arrives at has left her with unforgettable experiences, and has connected her with a part of her being, she highlights that one of the moments that remains etched in her memory was when she had the opportunity to bivouac (sleep at night). outdoors without any type of shelter), in some hills of San Juan at the height of the full moon.
“I think that was the most incredible thing, because feeling the power of the moon and literally sleeping with only a sleeping bag, and seeing the stars, the sunrise, I think I can’t explain it.”
It also highlights all the experiences that he has shared and lived with each of the people and families that he has met along the trip, which has taught him to be more free, spontaneous and happy, “That’s what the trip is about, doing new things for me, challenging myself”.
This, added to the incredible places that she has known in Mendoza and San Juan, have led her to learn and learn more about each culture and about the country, which she also seeks to highlight and tell others.
That is why she is excited to go back in time, look back, and see how much she has grown as a person, as a woman, and as a traveler, since she underlines that, without a doubt, her life has been a before and after after she took “Blanky” and pedal to cross an area of the country for the first time.
That is why she is full of expectation to think how far she will be able to go, because although she does not have a certain course, she dreams of being able to finish touring the country on a bicycle, but above all, of being that person full of stories and experiences to tell others, and why not, in the not too distant future, offer a different tourism alternative, since he knows with full certainty that what he is looking for is to be able to have the life he always wanted and dreamed of: traveling and living fully.
