Venezuelan President Nicolas MaduroHe assured that very soon they will return air connections between Venezuela and the United States. The statements occur while the expectation grows for the return of flights between Colombia and Venezuela.
“Miami is just one street and some well-painted buildings there and La Guaira is a big city (…) Why for Miami? There is nothing to do, rather come here. Soon we will open the Miami – Maiquetía flight”, assured Maduro.
The Venezuelan president jokingly added that the idea is that Americans “come and enjoy La Guaira, they come during the day, bathe and then leave. It is cheaper for them than going to the beaches of Miami”.
Currently, Venezuela has operational flights to countries such as Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Turkey, Spain and it is expected that before the end of 2022, flights to Colombia are resumed (Bogota), Argentina (Buenos Aires) and Chili (Santiago, Chile).
