Flights are reactivated by 108%

Colombia has regained air traffic during this year better than the world average, as highlighted by the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies, Anato.
While the total recovery of flights in the world was 50%, according to IATA, in the country it was 108%, according to figures from the Civil Aeronautics.

In this sense, worldwide, during January, the flow of passengers on international flights had a 38% reactivation, and domestic flights of 73%, compared to the same month of 2019.

In the Colombian case, at the beginning of the year, more than 3.8 million passengers were mobilized on flights. Of these, 1.1 million on frequencies abroad, 2.7 million on national routes.

Which corresponds to a recovery in the 123% national marketthat is, a 23% growth, where in addition the movement of passengers on international flights achieved a reactivation of 85%.

Undoubtedly, travelers on domestic flights continue to drive the recovery of air transport in Colombia”, argued Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of Anato.
