Flamengo achieved their first victory under the command of coach Dorival Júnior, after beating Cuiabá 2-0, on Wednesday night (15) at Maracanã, for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship.

With the victory, the first after a sequence of three defeats in the competition, Rubro-Negro reached 15 points. The Dourado remains with 12 points, inside the Z4.
Playing in front of more than 43,000 fans, Flamengo opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the first half, when full-back Ayrton Lucas crossed and the ball ended up fooling goalkeeper Walter and went in. The Carioca team’s second came out in the 33rd minute of the final stage, when Uruguayan Arrascaeta found Gabriel Barbosa, who hit the opposing goalkeeper’s exit.

Now Flamengo is preparing for the game against Atlético-MG next Sunday (19), while Cuiabá receives Ceará at Arena Pantanal the day before.

Another team to triumph was Internacional, which, playing at Serrinha stadium, beat Goiás 2-1. Colorado won with goals from Alan Patrick and Edenílson to reach 21 points. Esmeraldino already discounted with Da Silva to remain with 14.
