Even with the three-goal lead they had built in the first leg, Rubro-Negro da Gávea started the second leg of the Carioca semi-finals at a fast pace and it didn’t take long to open the scoring. After just four minutes, Lucas Paquetá scored with a header after a corner kick. The midfielder once again surpassed goalkeeper Neguete when he hit a shot placed in the 23rd minute.
Ten minutes later Flamengo’s lead increased thanks to an own goal from defender Jean after a cross from Cebolinha. The Gávea team continued to accelerate in the match and reached the fourth in the 45th minute, with center forward Pedro.

After the break, Pedro once again proved that he can assume the position of Flamengo’s starting reference striker. Two minutes in, Gávea’s number nine volleyed after a cross from Emerson Royal. A minute later Evertton Araújo recovered the ball at the edge of Madureira’s area and rolled it to Pedro, who hit the ball to score his third of the match.
At 24 Pedro took advantage of a leftover ball inside the area to score Flamengo’s seventh, and his fourth of the match. At 42, Samuel Lino gave the scorer final numbers.
