Flamengo FBC of Huancayo one step away from the women's soccer professional

Women’s professional soccer is close to Huancayo. After overcoming the district, provincial, regional and now national stages, the representative of Flamengo FBC from the district of El Tambo, province of Huancayo, qualified for the great Semifinal of the 2024 Women’s Promotion League.

The Wanka warriors, led by technical director Yogues Abregú Flores, reach the semifinals after defeating the powerful Yanapuma team from Iquitos on penalties (5-4), and are now just one game away from achieving promotion to the Professional League Women’s Soccer.

For the first time Junín would have a representative in the highest division.

They will play this eliminatory match against their counterpart Strongscalu AFC of Ayacucho, on Tuesday, December 10 in Cusco.

The Ayacuchanas come from beating Team Takana from Tacna 3 to 0, and one thing to keep in mind is that, they remain undefeated since the district stage, they have not known defeat.

The final will be played on December 12 in Cusco, two finalist teams will be promoted to the Professional Women’s Soccer League, and next year they will play against big teams such as Alianza Lima, Universitario, Sporting Cristal, FBC Melgar, and others.
