The Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos, reported through his twitter account the capture of five subjects whom he presented as “members of the Los Chicorrios criminal gang.”
The procedure was carried out by agents attached to the “Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda” Police Coordination Center of the Bolivarian National Police in zone 2 of the José Félix Rivas neighborhood, Petare, Sucre municipality (Miranda).
The officers seized from the detainees two firearms, eleven cartridges of different calibers, a portable radio and a binocular “which were used by this Organized Crime Structured Group to commit crimes and attacks the communities,” Ceballos wrote.
Through judicial sources we learned that those captured are identified as Deibi Bello (38), Elio Ernesto León (24), Oscar José Aldana (19), Freiber Moreno (22) and José Gregorio Pernía (35).
The arrest of the group occurs two days after the murder of five people in Petare: three of them in zone 2 of the José Félix Rivas neighborhood and two brothers killed in the Lebrún sector, Francisco de Miranda avenue.
A sixth murdered in the Sucre municipality is Giovanni Josué González Martínez, 16 years old, who was shot in the forehead when he was in Caucagüita at a party.
