The provinces on red alert are Santiago de los Caballeros, La Vega, San Juan, Santiago Rodríguez and Hato Mayor, according to the evening report from the National Meteorological Office (Onamet).

The downpours will continue in those five demarcations, where in the last 24 hours there have been intense rains that have caused flooding due to flooding of rivers and streams.

Meanwhile, a green alert is in force for Azua, Dajabón, Monte Plata, Juan Sánchez Ramírez and Monseñor Nouel, according to the weather report.
