Through 3 axes of intervention, work on their socio-emotional skills, training teachers in comprehensive prevention and the development of positive discipline methodologies, more than a thousand children and young people from five provinces, accompanied by their parents, are trained through the “You take care of me, you take care of me” program.
This initiative is developed by the Directorate of Citizen Participation of the Ministry of Public Security.
According to the Director of Citizen Participation, Deputy Commissioner Marlin Tello, this preventive program is worked strategically where talks are given on managing emotions and positive disciplines.
“Our psychologists give talks in the classrooms and carry out dynamics for these young people about their emotions together with teachers and parents, it is a job that allows us to identify the role of the young person in the different areas,” said Tello.
Tello highlighted that the program consists of 11 weeks of training and is aimed at more than a thousand students and 500 parents of families in educational establishments in the provinces of Coclé, Colón, Chiriquí, Panamá and Panamá Oeste.
The “Te Cuido Me Cuidas” program is a project that is developed in schools and colleges nationwide by the Ministry of Public Security in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.
