Five Yaracuy state police officers were captured just as they were extracting gasoline from a pipeline located in the Los Horcones sector, Bruzual municipality (Chivacoa) of the aforementioned entity, according to military sources.
The uniformed men were captured by agents assigned to the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) No. 40, identifying them as Luis Alberto Peroza Méndez, Jodar de Jesús Aular Martínez, Heber Enrique Verastegui Avendaño, Jefferson Alexander Calveti Barrios and Víctor Alexander Magallanes Heredia.
Along with the soldiers, Augusto Pérez Durán, Yorbin José Areas Abreu, Luis David Cárdenas Rodríguez, Carlos Omar Dormido Burgos, Freddy José Torrealba Cabrera and Alexander Yalbes Braca Cárdenas, members of the Structured Group of Organized Crime Los Gasolineros de Bruzual, were also arrested. They were illegally extracting fuel from the PDVSA pipeline (underground), from the El Palito refinery, Carabobo.
During the procedure, Conas agents seized two motorcycles and four cars: Ford F-350, license plate A69DU2A; Jeep Wagoneer, plate AI415WA; Dodge Power Rum 250, license plate A18AT2D; Dodge, plate A5VDBD.
In addition, the military seized 3,240 liters of gasoline, stored in 21 plastic containers of different capacities, and seven telephone sets.
Those arrested will be prosecuted for smuggling strategic material.
Clandestine lab destroyed
In another procedure, officials attached to the 11-1 Rural Command Detachment of the Bolivarian National Guard destroyed a clandestine fuel manufacturing laboratory located in El Marite, La Concepción municipality, Zulia state.
At the site they seized 880 liters of gasoline and an iron tank where they kept crude oil.
In the Caico Seco sector, Simón Rodríguez municipality (El Tigre), Anzoátegui, military personnel detained three individuals who were stealing strategic material from the “José Inácio de Abreu e Lima SA” Comprehensive Socialist Production Company.
At the site, 5,237 pieces of strategic junk-type material and a Ford 750 cargo vehicle, license plate A54BX2M, were seized.
Those arrested for this act are: Francisco Javier Rengel Monterola, Luis Alfredo Reyes Lozada and José Eduardo Gómez Navarro, members of the Los Ultra criminal group.
