After yesterday, January 16, the National Police in coordination with the Public Ministry apprehended five people for the alleged commission of the crime Against Life and Personal Integrity, to the detriment of two police officers, in the province of Bocas del Toro, this Tuesday that in January the guarantee control hearing was held.
At the hearing, the Bocas del Toro Prosecutor’s Office managed to order provisional detention for two people and notification for three others.
These five citizens were charged with personal injuries to the detriment of two police units, which occurred on January 15, 2023, in Isla Colón, after the police units asked several people not to release liquor on public roads or inside from the commercial premises, located in this sector, however, they responded with blows towards the uniformed officers, causing various injuries to their face, head, knees, back, legs and others.
