A total of five people lost their lives last Friday in the Apurímac region, where a car left the road, falling into an abyss of at least a thousand meters, in an area adjacent to the city of Abancay.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. when the X2G-038 filming plate vehicle covered the Chuquibambilla – Abancay route, getting lost near the town of Q’elloccacca Lambrama, where he fell down a steep slope.
After the incident, other passengers reported to the authorities what had happened, Arriving at the area police and fire teams, that they found bodies and belongings along the path that the vehicle traveled to the bottom of the abyss.
Finally, personnel from the Apurímac Rescue Operations Group (Goes) managed to recover four bodies from the slope, which were identified as: Daniel Saavedra Damián, Jac Anampa López, Dimas Calle Ignacio and a corpse NN; while the body of the driver, identified as Richard Sucre Cruz, remains inside his unit, and cannot be released due to lack of tools.
The Police indicated that they will continue with the recovery work of the last fatality, it was learned that a persistent rain falls in the area where the events occurred which makes recovery work difficult.
The prosecutor in charge of the investigation ordered to suspend work in the area until the morning of March 4, when the work would begin at dawn.
